Mom’s Zone is the brainchild of Mona Moore, a mother and successful web designer. Like many women who leave the corporate world to take care of a new baby, Moore felt suddenly disconnected and isolated. As Moore began to rebuild her social network in her new role as stay-at-home mom, she found many others struggling to find that same support system. In 2005, Mom’s Zone was born with one major goal: To help the thousands of young, stay-at-home mothers moving to Arizona make new friends, find specific products and services for their family, and locate fun, enriching activities to do with their children, FOR FREE.

In 2007, Moore teamed up with another local mother Frances Velez and together they have grown Mom’s Zone into a brand name that moms can count on to provide them with recommendations for local family-oriented resources, helpful articles and for those who are business owners, a vehicle to advertise their businesses to other like-minded women.  With over 174,000 hits a month, more than 1300 subscribers, and a comprehensive database of family-friendly goods and services, Mom’s Zone is quickly becoming one of the Valley’s hottest spots on the web. The generous patronage of Mom’s Zone’s advertisers by subscribers has helped to keep the website FREE for all.

What sets Mom’s Zone apart from the other “mom” sites that have come onto the scene lately, is that Mom’s Zone is truly a local service, focusing on the needs of women who are new to motherhood and/or new to the Arizona. Mona and Frances have both survived the transition of adjusting to Arizona when they first arrived and certainly remember the challenges of being a first-time mom! For this reason, MomsZone.org provides an easy-to-navigate site for moms to find what they need quickly as well as publishes an informative weekly e-newsletter that spotlights issues that really matter to Arizona moms.  

Also, for mom business owners as well as other local advertisers, Mom’s Zone provides a number of advertising opportunities – large and small – to communicate and market to moms who are between the ages of 20-50 and are actively raising their families.
