Sharing family traditions to keep families connected is the mission of Once Upon A Family . All families are busy and as a mother of three we are no exception. Our Lessons For Little Ones, helps families to focus on one value a month. This outstanding program is simple and gives you meaningful ideas to start traditions with your own family. February is a great month to talk about love and kindness because of Valentine's Day. Here are some ideas that you can do at home to share these values.

• One activity you can share with your family is cutting out hearts and having family members write other's acts of kindness on the heart. As the hearts accumulate throughout the month, they should be strung up in a special place in your home.

• Select loved ones and have your children interview them asking them to share their love story. Recording those memories in an album and picking different couples to interview each year is a great tradition. Additionally, it allows your children to truly understand the value of love and family.

• Another wonderful activity you could do this month is to choose Secret Valentines. This does not have to include purchasing gifts, but rather doing things for your Secret Valentine…and the best part will be NOT getting caught! You can pick up their room, leave a treat, do their chore, you name it. Finally, on Valentine's Day you can reveal your true identity!
