National Teddy Bear Day (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Bring your Beary Best Friend to Downtown Glendale for Teddy Bear Day! Celebrate National Teddy Bear Day in Historic Downtown Glendale on Saturday, September 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Have fun with friends, family and your favorite furry bears on Saturday, September 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and enjoy a fun-filled day of make-and-take arts and crafts, beary special treats and exclusive deals in Historic Downtown Glendale. You and your beary best friends will start the fun at the Glendale Visitor Center and pick up your map; coupons and gift bag (for the 1st 500 visitors) and take a spin on our themed prize wheel. Visit boutique stores, specialty shops, and downtown eateries for special offers and discounts. Donate a New Teddy Bear! Another important part of the event is the Teddy Bear and Toy Drive to benefit the Glendale Fire Department Trauma Teddy Program, the Glendale Crisis Response Team and United Way. The Visitor Center will be accepting new and gently hugged teddy bears. The teddy bears donated to the Trauma Teddy program are given to young children who have been involved or witnessed a traumatic event to help comfort them as only a snuggly teddy bear can do.

Sign, & Play! (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM)

Sign, & Play!
A fun and interactive way for all ages and levels to learn more about American Sign Language, for free!
A little bit about our instructor Jessika:
Jessika first came to sign language as a child. She grew up in a
small town in Northwest Georgia that was close to the Georgia School
for the Deaf. As an elementary student, Jessika’s interest was piqued
by another student who was deaf and communicated using American Sign
Language.
